It seems Brisbane-based communications specialist Comscentre has a knack for backing a winner.
The team, headed by local boy Ben Shipley, is in its second year of sponsorship with the Queensland Reds who last weekend stamped themselves as genuine Super 14 contenders.
After overhauling the communications systems of premiership winners Melbourne Storm and Hawthorn, Shipley is wondering if Comscentre can make it three for three.
Like the Reds, Comscentre has this year managed to shake off its woes by entering into a new partnership with finance provider FlexiGroup.
Shipley had run into vendor financing problems after the company’s international equipment financier pulled out of its arrangements at the height of the GFC, but the new deal ensures clients have secure access to finance and that the fast-growing business can keep kicking goals.
