THE WIRE: Your Quarterly Comscentre Update
Hi all,

What an exciting quarter we’ve had, adding over 6.8 million dollars of new clients contracts to the Comscentre network.

Building on this success we are expanding the network and our services offerings, with a number of new points of presence (data centres) and upgrading core switching and infrastructure in Australia. As a management and leadership team we have been building our 2020 Strategic Plan, a national strategy which we believe is key to providing better services, products and customer service.

Our Vision is to outperform all competitors to create Australasia’s leading business communications company.

Around the country we’ve been busy attending events. You may have seen us at the Pentana Summit or Cisco Live in Melbourne or perhaps The Brisbane News Breakfast in Queensland. There are many more events coming up, starting with the Queensland and Victorian IT Leaders Summits. If you see us, come say hi and have a chat!

There are plenty more stories to read in this edition of The Wire and we hope you’re loving the fresh, new look.

Thank you so much for your support everyday, call me anytime if we can do better, we want to be truly excellent and live up to this core Comscentre value.

Ben.

Industry Update

Andrew Fullager, Solutions Manager

More than ever before, your business needs one trusted advisor who can provide a seamless transition to a hybrid cloud world.

The rate of change is increasing exponentially in the world of information technology. The lifecycle of technology has gone from 10 years to 5 years to 12 months. Therefore making decisions about technological changes to optimise business has to be done quicker but with the same due diligence. You no longer have 12 months to plan and deploy a new technology because decisions made about direction and investment will be outdated by the time you decide to move ahead.

This makes choosing a partner in technology so much more important. We can advise on all your technology and telecommunications needs, quickly, effectively and accurately.

Cloud on the rise

Research by Infonetics shows that public and private cloud are gaining momentum. Increasingly more and enterprises are planning to move their unified communication solutions to the cloud next year.

What’s the one thing you need to join the cloud?
A data network that works and works well. That's where we come in!

Unified Communications

Infonetics Survey Highlights

The number one unified communications device used by respondent businesses is the smartphone, ahead of traditional computing devices such as laptop and desktop computers.

Web and video conferencing and text messaging are increasingly becoming part of businesses' UC communication types, reflecting changing user behaviour.

By early 2016, 93 percent of respondents plan to implement video conferencing into their UC solution.
When choosing a unified communications supplier, enterprises surveyed ranked product reliability and technology innovation as the most important criteria.

When asked about their perceptions of unified communications vendors, respondent businesses rated Cisco highest in product reliability and Microsoft highest in technology innovation.

The most important criterion to survey respondents when selecting a cloud/hosted provider is security levels.

Cisco Live and Pentana Summit

Our Involvement

We recently presented at both the Pentana Summit and Cisco Live. The events which were held in the same week were fortunately only blocks apart, allowing us to skilfully juggle both!

The Pentana Summit was attended by over 200 automotive segment leaders. With the wave of technology that is changing this industry in every aspect of its operations, our participation was an important placeholder for the position we hold in the segment.

We are proud to be the leading supplier in the automotive segment, with thousands of sites connected over our network.
